Areas of Research
I use state-of-the-art metabolomics to measure the cellular metabolism of patients with mitochondrial disease. I am also using molecular techniques to measure the integrated stress response and identify its relationship with alterations in metabolism. I'm keenly interested in understanding how the disease mechanism commonly leads to heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases.
