Biography

Dr. Jillian Colbert is originally from Souris, Prince Edward Island. Training has included an Honors Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Immunology & Biochemistry at Dalhousie University (2003), and Medical Degree from Memorial University (2007).  Dr. Colbert stayed in St. John’s NL for her residency in Internal Medicine, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine in 2011.  Concurrent with her Internal Medicine residency, Dr. Colbert received a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology in 2010.  She then moved to Calgary where she completed a subspecialty residency in Cardiology (2010-2013), as well as a Fellowship in Echocardiography (2013-2014) during which time she also received training in the care of adults with atrial septal defects.

Clinical interests include structural echocardiography and valvular heart disease.
